Anti-Hazing Policy

The 麻豆天美果冻传媒 Board of Regents has zero tolerance for hazing of any kind.听 This includes but is not limited to hazing on or off campus by any student organization and is not limited to Greek Life. Regents will continue to convene campus and system leaders to ensure that uniform hazing policies are fully implemented.

Regents declares cultural change on campus is imperative and must include protecting student voices so that violations are reported and can be acted upon to the full extent of the law. Regents supports the adoption of robust in-person and electronic training modules and will coordinate the possibility of statewide modules for all campuses to use in order to ensure the uniformity of content and fidelity of delivery to students, faculty, and administrators.

Anti-Hazing Policies

The Board of Regents is proud to partner with institutions across the state in their anti-hazing efforts to help improve student safety.听 The Uniform Policy on Hazing Prevention adopted by the Board in August 2018 can be found here, as well as information on upcoming hazing prevention events.

Human Trafficking Training

In accordance with Act 132 of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session, effective January 1, 2025, each educational institution or agency shall include a minimum of 30 minutes of anti-trafficking training within the driving course curriculum as a requirement to obtain a Class “A”, “B”, or “C” commercial driver’s license.听

This training, developed in collaboration with the听Governor鈥檚 Office of Human Trafficking Prevention, aims to raise awareness of human trafficking and equip individuals with the knowledge to identify, prevent and report potential incidents of trafficking.听 Upon successful completion of the training, participants must download and retain the certificate of completion. This certificate must be retained in the participant鈥檚 records for verification purposes and may be required as part of a CDL application. Institutions should also maintain records of the certificates of completion.

Uniform Policy on Power-Based Violence

This Uniform Policy on Power-Based Violence, promulgated pursuant to Act 472 of the 2021 Regular Legislative Session of the 麻豆天美果冻传媒 Legislature, sets forth processes and procedures to guide public postsecondary education stakeholders in maintaining safety and protection for students and employees.听Power-based violence听is defined as any form of interpersonal violence intended to control or intimidate another person through the assertion of power over the person. It includes but is more expansive than sexual misconduct and Title IX misconduct.

Act 472 directs the Board of Regents to establish uniform policies and best practices to implement measures to address the reporting of power-based violence on Institutions鈥 campuses, the prevention of such violence, communication between Institutions regarding incidents of power-based violence, and the provision of medical and mental health care for these alleged victims.

Policy Overview

Upon the effective date of this Policy, all institutions shall immediately begin complying with this Policy as well as the institutional policy, once adopted, under the supervision and control of their Management Boards.
